How to use this ring size chart
Start with a measurement or a size you already know. If you have a ring that fits the intended finger, measure straight across its inside opening in millimeters. Find the closest diameter in the chart, then read across that row for regional size equivalents. Measure the opening rather than the outside of the band: the metal adds width that does not describe the space available for your finger.
If you are measuring your finger, use the circumference columns instead. Wrap a narrow, non-stretch paper strip around the finger, mark the overlap, and measure the full marked length. Search with a prefix such as “US 7” or “UK N” when you know a regional size. On a phone, swipe the table sideways to see all columns. The chart covers US sizes 3–13 in half-size steps.
Reading ring size in cm or inches
The cm and inch columns show circumference: the distance around the inside of a ring. They are measurements, not regional size labels. To measure ring size in cm, wrap and mark a paper strip, then read the full length with a ruler. Enter it in the finger circumference calculator or compare nearby rows here. Displayed values are rounded.
For a straight measurement across a ring, use the diameter column in millimeters. The ring size conversion guide explains how units and international systems differ.
Comparing international ring sizes
US and Canada use numbered sizes; UK and Australia use letters. EU labels generally relate to inner circumference in millimeters, while India and Japan have their own numbered conventions. A number such as 7 therefore needs a country or sizing system to be meaningful. The ≈ symbol marks an approximate equivalent, because these systems do not line up exactly.
Our ring size conversion chart uses one shared dataset with the calculator and printable sizer. Circumference is calculated as diameter × π, then rounded for display. Regional labels follow the references described in ourmeasurement methodology and sizing sources. Check the seller’s chart before ordering, especially for brand-specific or smart-ring sizes. Oura sizing kits use their own model-specific sizes.
What if your measurement falls between rows?
Compare both neighboring sizes and repeat the measurement before choosing. Paper can stretch or compress the finger, and a small measuring error can change the closest chart entry. Measure at a comfortable room temperature and consider your knuckle, band width, and preferred fit. A wider band can feel different from a narrow one; there is no single rule to size up for everyone. For an expensive or non-resizable ring, a jeweler’s fitting is a useful final check.
Download or print the ring size chart
Download the complete chart as a CSV file to keep an offline reference or open it in a spreadsheet. The download includes all 21 rows even when the table is filtered, with diameter in millimeters and circumference in millimeters, centimeters, and inches. Approximate international labels are identified in the column headings. CSV is a numeric reference, not a physical measuring template.
For a printable ring size chart with measuring circles and a paper strip, open the A4 or US Letter printable ring sizer and select “Print / Save PDF.” Print at 100% or Actual size and check that the scale line measures exactly 50 mm with a ruler before using the circles. Screen calibration is needed for an on-screen circle, but reading the numeric chart does not require it.
